Aaby Mølle og Møllehuset

Før Aaby blev til stationsbyen Aabybro var det et landbrugssamfund, og det var møllernes storhedstid. I Aaby var der tre vinddrevne møller og lidt udenfor byen endnu en, Haugaards Mølle. Alle er dog væk.
På Kirkevej 10 var Aaby Mølle med tilhørende beboelse for mølleren og hans familie. Såvel mølle som hus menes opført omkring 1840. Sidste møller var Mads Peter Jensen. Møllen blev nedrevet i 1944, mens beboelsen, kaldet “Møllehuset” først forsvandt i 2000.

Before Aaby became the railway town of Aabybro, it was an agricultural community, and it was the golden age of the mills. In Aaby, there were three wind-powered mills, and just outside the town, another one, Haugaard’s Mill. However, all of them are now gone.
At Kirkevej 10, Aaby Mill was located, along with housing for the miller and his family. Both the mill and the house are believed to have been built around 1840. The last miller was Mads Peter Jensen. The mill was demolished in 1944, while the house, known as the “Mill House,” didn’t disappear until 2000.
